4 Divisional Workshops with District Information Officers (DIOs)
4 Divisional
Workshops with District Information Officers (DIOs)

A total of 4 Divisional Workshops with District Information
Officers (DIOs) were held across 4 divisional venues, bringing together 157
participants from 61 districts. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of
Information and Broadcasting and its affiliated departments—including the
Department of Mass Communication and district-level Information Offices—the
workshops focused on strengthening the dissemination of information regarding
village court services to rural communities. During these sessions,
participants were briefed on the roles, procedures, benefits, gender
inclusiveness, and peaceful coexistence fostered by village courts, alongside a
30-minute session on service delivery and a 3-hour module exploring the media’s
role in promoting village courts. The workshops successfully established
actionable plans to leverage the Information Department’s outreach tools—such
as loudspeaker announcements, mobile film shows, local newspapers, posters, and
folk theatre—while enhancing field-level coordination and cooperation with DIOs
for effective awareness campaigns at the union level.
