Collaboration with Department of Mass Communication, MIO&B to promote VC

A Collaboration workshop was held on 16 March 2026 at DG Office – Department of Mass Communication, MOI&B, Dhaka with Department of Mass Communication, MIO&B to promote VC. To strengthen community awareness and access to justice, a strategic collaboration was established between the AVCB III Project, LGD, and the Department of Mass Communication (DMC) under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MOI&B). During key discussions, the DMC leadership was briefed on Village Court (VC) objectives, existing communication efforts, and the potential to amplify key messages by leveraging the department’s extensive technical expertise and field presence—including Human Resources across 61 districts and outreach activities such as mobile film shows, yard meetings, women's gatherings, and thematic campaigns. To operationalize this partnership, it was agreed that a half-day orientation workshop for DMC officials would be organized , while DMC committed to issuing official orders for District Information Officers (DIOs) to participate in four Divisional Orientation Workshops. Furthermore, both parties agreed to formalize this collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to guide long-term communication and outreach initiatives, with the AVCB III Project’s Communication and Outreach Unit leading the implementation in close coordination with the DMC.
